Whether you buy it on Steam or Amazon most (damn you EA and your Origin) games tend to activate on Steam anyways. A nice benefit of getting your games on Amazon is that they promise to provide you with another key if DRM shenanigans ever prevent you from accessing your game. Also, you often get a digital copy to download in addition to the Steam activated version.
@showtimefolks
If anything I would say the PS4 would more likely have PS1 and PS2 backwards compatibility rather than PS3 backwards compatibility just because of the hardware. Anything can run a PS1 emulator nowadays and it's not a stretch to think that PS2 emulator would be difficult given the power of current computers. Heck, I one on my computer and it runs great.
The PS3 backwards compatibility is the thing that would cost the most just because it w...
You just made me realize how much Steam has spoiled me. It is so hard to buy anything on a console anymore given the (ridiculous) markdowns you often find on steam.
Though I am looking forward to God of War Ascension, I do agree that they should rest the franchise after this game a little bit. Kratos' epic has been completed, so unless there truly is more story that needs to be known more games will begin to feel stale without major gameplay advancements.
Besides wouldn't everyone like Sony Santa Monica to create another franchise as captivating as God of War.

These chinese 四 (4, sì) is nearly homophonous with 死 (death, sǐ) also.
If only this were a Nintendo article this would have been an epic comment. Regardless, a gif is required now.
This just makes me terribly sad. Out of all the properties that THQ had Darksiders resonated with me the most. I really hope that something transpires and Vigil Games won't disband as their games are truly enjoyable.
The game that made me most excited for Generation 7 (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, etc.) was the trailer for Final Fantaxy Vs. XIII. I was envisioning Kingdom Hearts meets Final Fantasy. Alas, Kingdom Hearts has remained a no-show on the consoles and a Final Fantasy I did care for has been shoved down my throat repeatedly.
I still hope FFvXIII will amaze me....whenever it arrives.
Ironically NBA Elite is one of those games that you would most likely get cheap. Used game stores see yearly sports games as literally worthless after the new version is released. I'll have to keep my open in the future for that game.
Hmmm, I have quite a few of these games -- unopened I might add. I bought them to play, but as time slips by I feel like I am doing a disservice by opening them anymore.
I love how the ERSB censors the words such as shit in their own commentary. The human brain is quite capable of filling the blanks. There is no point in writing the words down if it draws you at*ention w*th stars **galore***.
Glad I am not the only one that thought that. In the end they not only reported the non-news that most gaming websites report non-news, but they also reported the same quote from Kazuo Hirai that they are complaining about.
I hope the camera angle is somewhat adjustable. This would allow us to flip from the classic top-down to the extreme (imo, 2nd image in article) forward facing view. This would hopefully make it similar to original and mitigate some of your concerns.
I don't expect the views would be fully customisable, but the option of some view angles would be much appreciated.
They even managed to prevent the Half Life 2 episodes from becoming a trilogy.
Just please don't let any of the good ones go to EA. I actually want to play most of the games on PC without ever having to avoid Origin at every step.
@rezzah
It's always sobering when you begin to talk about any activity in terms of months.
Exactly, Valve really trys to provide a great experience for the consumer. Sure people may not like the fact they are purchasing games that have a form of DRM, but on the other hand the services they integrate into the game are phenomenal.
I just noticed the other day that added a market section in the community tab where people can sell items from games such as Dota 2 or TF2 for actual money to use on steam. I have also been loving the greenlight process used to add games ...
boo... less iOS more Android.

Oh yeah

Square Enix get back to work and make the games such as Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Kingdom Hearts III you promised me over 7 years.
Actually Nintendo might appreciate that more since they are currently (I think) losing money on each Wii U they sell. As long as you are throwing money at software most hardware companies shouldn't complain. It takes awhile for consoles to break even typically.
